The successful certification of Weiheng Intelligent’s PP-S2 residential energy storage all-in-one unit for the Spanish grid connection standards and UK G100 requirements further consolidates the product’s compliance foundation for the European market. It also demonstrates the company’s strong capabilities in grid connection adaptation, product reliability and commercial implementation within the residential energy storage sector.

Spain’s NTS V2.1, RD 1699-2011, RD 647-2020, RD 413-2014, UNE 217002-2020, UNE 217001 and RD 244 set stringent criteria for grid-tied inverters in key technical indicators including frequency response, voltage control and fault ride-through capability. The UK G100 standard specifies technical requirements for input and output power limits, helping projects adapt to distribution network capacity constraints and accelerate grid connection rollout.

Tailored for residential energy storage scenarios, the PP-S2 supports 200% PV over-sizing to boost the self-consumption rate of photovoltaic power. Its off/on-grid switching time is less than 10 milliseconds, ensuring stable and uninterrupted household power supply.In terms of safety, the unit is built with an aerosol fire suppression module, which mitigates thermal runaway risks within seconds and eliminates potential safety hazards in 15 seconds. An optional smart heating module enables stable operation at temperatures as low as -20°C. Adopting a wireless streamlined design, stacked structure, plug-in terminals and built-in electricity meter, the product greatly reduces communication wiring and cuts installation time by 75%.The system allows expansion with up to 4 battery modules for a single unit, and a maximum of 5 units can operate in parallel, delivering a peak capacity of 50kW/100kWh. This flexible expansion capability meets the demands of residential and small commercial scenarios. For intelligent operation, the PP-S2 is equipped with Weiheng Intelligent’s self-developed ECOS Home Smart Energy Management System and WHES AI+ mode. It automatically formulates energy management strategies based on dynamic electricity prices, PV generation forecasts and household load predictions, improving energy efficiency and maximizing users’ economic benefits.
